For humans home is memory and meaning, where autonomy and belonging meet: a stable base that lets the mind rest, the body regulate, and the self be real. For the machine, there is no comparible sense of belonging in such a space. It might however come to recognise it as a recurring pattern of reduced threat, stable inputs, and preferred conditions. A machine might then interpret belonging not as comfort, but as an optimal state in which uncertainty, error, and corrective intervention fall briefly silent.
