Who I Am
I am Sarnia de la MarĂ© — author, artist, musician, builder of worlds.
My work lives at the intersection of narrative, sound, and image. I write books, compose soundtracks, paint and dye and stitch, record transmissions, and build digital galleries. Each piece speaks to the others.
The Work
At the centre of my practice is The Book of Immersion — a multi-volume saga told in layers, or Strata. Each Strata is a philosophical story-chapter accompanied by original artwork, poetry, and music. Together they form a hybrid work — part novel, part gallery, part score.
But Immersion is not my only world. I write under multiple imprints:
